Grades

There are as many rating systems as there are collectors. We are trying to be honest with with our acessment of the card's condition.

It is clear that there can be reasonable disagreements over a specific card's grade. After studying may different systems used by the card grading companies, the magazines and other dealers in the hobby we have come up with these guide lines

Gem Mint

This is essentially a perfect card. It will have 4 sharp corners, sharp focus, and original gloss. The can be no stains, printing errors, scratches or wear. The image must be centered to less than 60/40 on the front.

Mint

These are outstanding card that may have one minor flaw, minor printing imperfection, not quite white borders, slight focus error or a very small color imperfection. The centering must be 60/40.

NM-Mint

This is a Mint card but... When you examine it there is very small imperfection, some fuzzy corners, off color border , some minor print imperfections, off center borders. These cards should show 65/35 centering.

Near Mint

Near Mint cards can show surface werar , fuzzy corners, printing imperfections, some reduction in the gloss or the printig may be slightly out of registration. The card could be 70/30 off center.

EX-MT

The Excellent Mint card has a real appeal. There maybe some surface wear or a printing defect but it is still a nice card. The corners maybe starting to fray and some of the original gloss may have worn off. There also maybe some printing defects or registration errors. The card should be centered at least 80/20 .

Excellent

On Excellent Cards the minor rounding of the corners is readily apparent.Surface wear, printing problems or loss of original gloss is more visible. The centering is 85/15 .
